Dairy Project Represents at WE3 Conference at Bangkok

Dairy Project represented at the USAID’s Workshop on Women’s Economic Empowerment & Equality (WE3)—took place in Bangkok Dec. 8-9, 2016—which brought together diverse development actors, including USAID staff members from different South and Southeast Asia missions, implementing partners, private sector companies, regional women’s networks, donors, academics, NGOs, and grassroots leaders from the Global South.

Project-trained Women Livestock Extension Worker, Memoona Farid, was the highlight of the workshop. She represented at the regional women’s caucus about how the project empowered her to confidently step out of her home and earn a respectable livelihood, becoming a self-employed women entrepreneur.

Mr. Sajjad Moghal, Senior Development Advisor USAID, facilitated an interesting discussion on Women Leadership. Communications Specialist Dairy Project, Roha Tariq, spoke at the panel of Workforce Development. Dr. Humera Iqbal, Field Operation Manager, talked about the Supply and Value Chain of the Dairy Project. Sobia Akram, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, led a break-out table discussion on WE3 and M&E.
